John Urschel von den Baltimore Ravens aus der US-amerikanischen Profiliga NFL wolle die Footballschuhe an den Nagel hängen. Grund dafür sei eine Studie der Boston University und des VA Boston Healthcare Systems. Diese hatte bei 110 von 111 untersuchten Gehirnen von mittlerweile verstorbenen Footballspielern die degenerative neurologische Erkrankung CTE festgestellt. Grund dafür können wiederholte Zusammenstöße mit dem Kopf sein.
